Our Take
The US Bank Edge Platinum card is a solid card for small and medium-sized businesses to use for one time major expenditures. For a no-fee card, they offer a generous 0% introductory rate for balance transfers for 12 months. The catch: you need a high credit score to qualify for this credit card, and there are no rewards gained on ongoing purchases.
In a nutshell
The US Bank Business Edge Platinum card is one of several in the US Bank Business Edge suite. Other cards include a cash back card, a points-based reward card, and a travel reward card.
The Business Edge Platinum offers no annual fee, and a 0% introductory APR for 12 months (like other credit cards, there is a one time fee you pay for any balance transfers). And, with this card you can get unlimited employee cards.
In return for a 12 month teaser and no annual fee, you must have great credit. And, there are no rewards for your ongoing purchases, unlike other business credit cards they offer.
US Bank Business Edge Platinum Qualifications
There aren’t any obvious resources for reference to figure out whether you qualify for this card. But, based on similar cards and its competition, you probably:
- should have a business (remember, this is a business credit card)
- should have good credit (660 or above)
- not be in the business of certain restricted industries
Fees and Interest Rates
There is no annual fee for this credit card. But, for balance transfers, you’ll pay 3% at time of transfer or $5, whichever is higher.
You’ll have a 0% introductory purchase and balace transfer APR for the first 12 billing cycles, then the APR ranges from 10.24% to 18.24%.
For cash advances, the APR is 24.24%.

How to Apply
Here’s an excerpt of their application.
They ask standard information that most other lenders ask. Be sure to have your Tax ID number at hand. Most fields here are straightforward.
If you’re not instantly given a decision, then you’ll get a follow up in the mail with their decision.
The negatives
US Bank Edge Platinum does not offer any rewards – if this card will be used for ongoing expenses and purchases, then there are other cards (like their rewards card) that will ‘give something back’ to you.
And, if you’re looking for a longer teaser, their 12 month offer is good, but there are better offers around (though not business cards per se).
Additionally, US Bank seems to be targeting business owners with very good credit. If you don’t have it, you probably won’t qualify.
The positives
On the flip side, a no annual fee credit card for businesses is pretty good, especially one with a 0% introductory rate for balance transfers.
Our conclusions
The US Bank Edge Platinum card is an ‘all around’ solid card – no single product feature is better than any other on the market. If you’ve already got a relationship with US Bank through a checking account it may be convenient to also get a credit card line from them, too. But, if you want rewards or are interested in a long teaser, shop around for other cards.
